Education and Skill Development Program

Our Mission

RuWERA CBO is committed to breaking down the barriers that prevent girls and women in rural communities from accessing quality education. Our Education and Skill Development program provides scholarships, mentorship, learning materials, and vocational training to help women and girls acquire the skills needed to thrive in various careers and leadership roles. We aim to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to become leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers in their communities.

Mentorship Programs

Connecting young girls with mentors who provide guidance, career advice, and support in achieving their personal and professional goals.

Gender-Sensitive Policies Advocacy

Working with local authorities to promote gender-sensitive policies in education, such as reducing school fees and providing sanitary products, to increase girls' access to education.

Gender Gap in Kenya

In Kenya, the gender gap in education persists, with girls in rural areas facing barriers such as early marriage, poverty, and cultural norms that discourage schooling.
